Home Computers in 1954...

The caption reads:
"Scientists from the RAND Corporation have created this model to illustrate how a “home computer” could look like in the year 2004. However the needed technology will not be economically feasible for the average home. Also the scientists readily admit that the computer will require not yet invented technology to actually work, but 50 years from now scientific progress is expected to solve these problems. With teletype interface and the Fortran language, the computer will be easy to use."

I am so thankful computers have evolved the way they have, and NOT like they predicted in this article! I don't know how I'd survive without the almost instant contact with my family and buddies that email and blogging affords me!!!

Whoa, Fortran.

I am reading this on a Laptop, built in 2004. Talk about an information explosion!

That is really cool. Where did you find it?

WOW!! Can you imagine all of us blogging and emailing on our HUGE wall covering computers?! Cracks me up! I guess we'd get our exercise...walking from button to button to get our messages written and sent.
